Baby development
I can now open my eyes!
The retina part of the eye is now developed which means I can now respond to light and darkness even if my vision is limited. The eye is not fully developed and the colour of my eyes belongs to the final phase of the development. It may take up to six months after birth until you can tell what colour my eyes are.
My vestibular system, which helps with my sense of balance and orientation, is also developed and I can perceive what's up and down. I can also recognise my parents' voices and respond when they speak.
