Baby development
I now resemble a very tiny newborn child.
I have begun to find my rhythm, but it doesn’t always line up with that of my mother, and there are times when I am often in motion just as she is about to wind down for the day. Sometimes it’s the other way round. It’s so nice to be rocked to sleep whilst mum is on the go.
My kidneys are now sufficiently developed to take over the production of amniotic fluid, which had previously been overseen by the placenta. The kidneys are also capable of managing some of my waste, although most of it will go through the placenta to the mother's circulation to be disposed of.
